Situation
This Fortune 1000 gift and collectibles company is a market leader, with over 25,000 products sold around the world in 40,000 retail outlets. But a continued decline in sales in their key brand - which represents one-third of all sales - brought them to MVS for a thorough examination of the brand. The Company engaged MVS to conduct both extensive primary and secondary market research to determine consumer and retail customer perceptions, as well as perform an overall category/industry review.

MVS designed and conducted consumer and retail customer intercept surveys to determine consumer and customer perception of the brand. MVS also performed an extensive category and industry review to determine the state of the gift and collectible markets and the brand’s opportunity within them.

After analyzing the research and marketplace, MVS made actionable recommendations and devised a strategic action plan for the Company to maximize growth opportunities.
