Case Study: Private Equity FirmSituation MVS' Approach Both internal data and publicly-available research were reviewed. Interviews with leading industry experts and craft and mass retailers were conducted to understand how they view the scrapbooking category and the players within the category. To complement this view , MVS designed and executed a web-based consumer survey to gain knowledge of the key drivers behind consumer decision making and purchasing in the scrapbooking category. Finally, a throrough analysis was done to assess the Target Company's position relative to its competitors and the potential for growth via new products or acquisitions.
