Strategic Consulting Firm Writes Award-Winning
Business Plan
Boston,
Mass. - May 22, 2001
Mount Vernon
Strategies, a Boston-based strategic consulting firm is proud to have
provided professional support to this year's winner of the Northeastern
University Ventures (NEUVentures) $60K Business Plan Competition, StorageZip.
MVS, an organization committed to helping emerging companies grow, provided
comprehensive consulting services to StorageZip's management team from
the company's inception through the writing of its award-winning business
plan. MVS works directly with established business leaders and entrepreneurs
in the areas of strategic planning, market research, financial analysis,
and business development. Last year MVS wrote approximately 180 business
plans that raised close to $200 million for clients. The firm has also
spearheaded numerous successful business development efforts for its clients.
MVS's Alliance & Partnership Development practice has been extremely successful
in meeting clients' needs. Last year, MVS helped a number of its clients
in the e-business space forge critical alliances with such world-renown
firms as Saatchi & Saatchi, Pfizer, Blue Cross of Massachusetts, and Kodak.
To date, these alliances have yielded an 8:1 return on investment, when
comparing revenues generated through these new alliances vs. amount spent
on MVS's services. MVS was able to leverage its deep skills base in order
to propel StorageZip toward successful recognition within the venture
capital community. Says StorageZip's founder and CEO, Howard Hall, of
MVS's contribution to the company's success, "MVS played a critical role
in helping bring StorageZip from concept to a viable business solution.
Not only did their team help me to build out StorageZip's business model,
but they also conducted the market research that helped us to build a
clear and compelling plan. These guys really know what it takes to be
successful, even in a market that's becoming increasingly more competitive."
On Mount Vernon Strategies' long-standing partnership with StorageZip,
Senior Partner Charles Collier comments, "Given the strength of StorageZip's
management team and strong business model, I'm not surprised by their
current success. We're looking forward to proceeding with our current
strategic alliance initiative with them. StorageZip has a bright future
ahead and there's a great opportunity for them to build a solid network
of alliance relationships."
